Finally, new spooktacles!

Its high time I gotten my spooks done. It had actually broken a week or 2 back. I had a special function to attend so I wore contacts instead of spooks. I then placed my spooks in my bag. When I got home, the darn thing broke! So, I had to tape a toothpick to my spooks and had to suffer with contacts each time I go out.

But, a miracle happened yesterday night, my mum and dad fetched me to the spooks shop to get a new pair! (I always wait for my mum to fetch me =P) As I don't have much taste, I had my lil' sis come along to help me choose a nice frame. Yup.. a black squarish one. Took quite a hell of a time in there choosing it though.

Anyway, I'll be collecting them spooks and a pair of contacts on Tuesday. Which means I still have to wear contacts today when I go dancing, tomorrow when I go Sentosa and on Monday when I go out! ARGH!!!

A Trip to Hong Kong

Yup.. And a wonderful trip it was, I skipped many days of lessons in school. Was all its worth though. =)

5 days 4 nights-- 2nd June to 6th June
Reason-- Dance competition
Was begged by dear piggy of mine to go =P

Day before Day 1:

Stayed at Friends' house at Bedok. Freaking 3-storey bungalow with own dance studio. Verdict? WAY COOL!! Had some practice before taking a sweet nap. Was past midnight when we all slept and I couldn't sleep much so me and some of my friends stayed up and talked the night away.

Day 1:

3:30am: The rest all got up,then we went downstairs to prepare ourselves to go to the airport. (You heard me, and you are seeing the time correctly)

4 plus in the morning: At the airport where we meet up with other friends. Checked in our luggage blah blah blah.. Jetstar Asia blah blah freaking small blah blah.. Got a nice window seat and was feeling estatic. (I love taking aeroplanes)

On the plane: Enjoyed the view.. then had dear piggy cuddle up on me... so cute =)

At Hong Kong airport: Was rejoined by many other dancers, then we made our way to the coach to take us to our Beautiful hotel, Newton Hotel which is like an hours' ride from the airport. Bus driver wasn't pleased cause' the people just chucked their luggage in the luggage compartment without any consideration for others who have luggages as well.

Newton Hotel: Microscopic Puny Measly Small room. 5 people in my room altogether. Imagine the body-hugging postions we had to undertake. Right, prior to this sentence was crap. =)

Went shopping at Nui Ren Jie.(Lady's Street) Doesn't seem like its for ladies only though. Bought stuff.. naturally.. Wasn't much.. had dinner and back to the hotel we went. To bathe and sleep.

Days 2 & 3:

8am: Had to wake up early on both days for dance workshops. Met Barry Amato, singer cum dancer. 40 over years and still looking seductive! (P.S. I'm not gay!) Got to learn many dances, some cool some not.

Got to know other instructors as well like Chris Watson and Simon ******(forgot his name.. argh!)

Day 3, afternoon after 1st session of workshop: Skipped the 2nd session for lunch with my girl and some friends, a treat by my gfs' dads' fren.. So darn full, had to finish up the remnants which my friends didn't want to help me with... =.=

Day 3, night time: Had choreography competition... SIMPLY FABULOUS!! There were 6 people out of 15 who will compete in the finals. Out of the 6, 4 of them were my friends. Had such a great time. =D

Day 4:

Early in the morning: Got up to go out with my sweety and her friend. Went to her friends' school, they were holding their prize-giving ceremony. Couldn't stay still there so we walked around her school. Was so nice and cooling, they had a garden with so many different types of cactus.. how interesting. Then we went back to the hotel for preparations for the competition at night.

Late afternoon: Took a bus which brought us to HKs conventional hall. Was big and nice.

6pm: Was dancing already, eagerly awaiting dinner cause I was so hungry. When dinner was ready, BUFFET!!! HOORAY!! haha.. Was told not to eat too much so I got a moderate amount. (Moderate amount = 1 & 1/2 share for me) Had oysters, ham, roast beef, prawns, octopus and salmon... Lots of it. Then we started out with the choreography competition, followed by the Group dancing competition and only to end with more choreography competition.

Choreography competition was nice, we all made few mistakes but nobody noticed. Then just before the group dancing competition, I felt the urge to go to the toilet... ARGH!!!! But nevermind, I managed to keep in control throughout the competition. Was fun dancing... I remembered I had to take extra large strides walking in cause I was too far from my position, I might even have been taking the last 1 or 2 steps while the dance had already began. =p

After the group competition, All of us went to the washroom to clear ourselves off the glitter. I was roaring with laughter in the washroom because I poured all the silver glitter into the toilet bowl and it couldn't be flushed down. After the first few flushes when all the glitter had mixed nicely into the water, it looked like the metallic liquid spilling out of that girls' eyes from X-Men. Then I continued flushing.. after what seemed the umpteenth time, I finally got it all down =) Was so delightful!

Then we continued dancing, all of a sudden, the urge to go to the toilet came back. I went and had a nice blast =) Returned, and continued with the choreography competition.

In between, we had performances put up by different instructors and other dancers. The one I liked best was when all the instructors came together to perform, it was so humorous. (I'm hoping to get a video of that soon so I can post it here)

Placings:

6th, 4th, 3rd, 1st for Choreography competition. Congratulations to Shawn & Sueann, Aunty Azura, Jie Jie Ivy and Aunty Amy!!

3rd for Group Dancing competition. Congratulations to Young Guns!!

I felt a little disappointed but nonetheless, happy.

After the function: My gfs' friend brought us out for a walk at Victoria Harbour. The sight was just marvellous BUT! I had to use the toilet again! This time, I really felt desperate, we slowly walked back and managed to find a toilet. When I entered the toilet, I chuckled to myself because I found soap and toilet paper in it. Its like wow! You don't even get this in Singapore. Furthermore, that toilet was just like any other toilet where you see at a hawker centre, except that it is much cleaner, and has toilet paper and soap.

Nothing shall be mentioned of the on-goings in the toilet but I dare say I had a good time. After I was done, we all slowly headed back to the hotel since it was getting a little late.

Back at the hotel: Recieved a call from another room saying that they'll be having 2 instructors up in the room to celebrate. So my friends and I headed over for a drink.. or 2... or too many for my friend. While we were enjoying the atmosphere, he was enjoying the wine. Then we had a rather drunk blob moving around sluggishly. It was such a hilarious sight. He couldn't walk straight properly but he kept saying he could, and he almost fell down. Luckily, someone behind supported him but how? I never could have imagined. When I returned to my room with my friends, the drunk fella was. still. drunk. Durh~ But he looked funny... adorable, plump, red-faced fella.. And he was acting funny too. (I hope to post his pics here too) Well, tired we all were so we had a bath and went to sleep. (we bathed individually mind you)

Day 5, the final:

Sad... last day.. free day as well. We all went shopping together.. bought stuff.. Then had lunch.. was very full. Then me, my gf and 2 of her friends went elsewhere to shop. She bought stuff from a shop - heroic rendezvous... pretty expensive!

Went back to the hotel, took the bus back to the airport and BAM! We're on our way back already =(

Well, had an exhilarating experience anyway.

At Changi Terminal on Monday midnight/Tuesday Morning: Bought perfume and liqour =) Then went out to meet family except bro. Hugged everyone goodbye.(Was feeling sad..)

In the car: So cool, I did so much talking. they kept telling me to shut up.

Home: Lovely home, left my stuff unpacked, bathed, used the com and finally... Much awaited, beauty sleep.

Finally....

My blog is up.. after much pestering from my 2 sisters. Alright alright, don't get excited and all, I know its me.

I had really wanted to complete this ages ago but unfortunately, I didn't have the time.. and laziness took over me.

I have much to write especially since I just came back from my Hong Kong trip recently and am having supplementary lessons of which I wanna complain and people of whom I wanna complain talk about.

I hope I have the time to come online regularly to post entries... Man! I am SO busy, having much to do about my D&T (design & technology).. I am being screwed by the school because i'm a little slow having difficulties with my design.

Anyway, signing off now~

Yours faithfully truly Loyally, (I'm sticking with this =D)

Doggie pal, xiaogou
